Ihad a long wire antenna run about 70 feet high . Thought i had after 9pm radios only. only time get anything.
Then had idea . Telephone i only use two wires in the interface box out side . The other two are for extra lines .

Re: looooong wire
Finally have a good working long wire antenna. Ran a piece
of 10 gauge wire in a L shape 200 foot long and 20 foot up.
Picks up a station all over the dial. And all day long.
Got this ideal off of some guy named Sprman.
Have to finish with lighting protection and earth ground.
Then i will be finished with it .

Re: looooong wire
If this is a non-transformer operated set, that is series string tubes, it is highly reccommended against using a ground.
This is a shock hazzard, and, if grounded, and, if plug is reversed, you will be shorting one side of the ac line to the other.
