Eico 666 Never used
Eico 666 Never used
I just inherited an Eico 666
The case was very rusted and it look old.
When I plugged it in there was no light and no fuse
After replacing the fuse there was no voltages on any of the pin sockets.
After troubleshooting I find that all of the tube pin wires were soldered to the upper push button buss instead of the outputs.
I guess it was an improperly wired kit that had NEVER tested a tub.
All the soldering joints were first rate other than being miss wired.
Re-soldered and cleaned up now. Repainted the box. Ready for calibration.
This poor thing had been shuffled around for 50 years and had never been in use.
We radio guys jus t never throw anything away do we.

Re: Eico 666 Never used
Just be careful with the model number 666. It could be hit by lightening.
