All the tubes check out OK, and the cabinet will get done in the spring.

I love that globe dial. Is it a transformer set, battery, or, ac dc?

Hi Bill It is as transformer set.
When they replaced the electrolytic caps they did not replace two 4 mf caps.
and I will get at this one a little later in the new year

I checked it out as far as the transformer is concerned and then brought it up with a variac and it works..I will still have to change all the caps.
Some of the caps are very old and they are sort of flat and wrapped in wax paper, with all the tar showing at the ends. Those don't have any numbers at all, so the task is to try follow the schematics and see what the values are. There are a couple of 4MF caps in there and one has been replaced, but so far I can't find the other one.
I guess this is why we do this hobby for the challenge.
