After having owned this tv for over 7 years, i finally decided to get it ready and restore it. I worked on the screen for a bit last night and got it to shine like new money. It was the worst one i had ever seen before i messed with it as it was solid white on both sides. The picture shows it after the screen was done. I'm going to focus on the electronic aspect now and get it working properly before i refinish the cabinet. It displays a full raster with good video and sound but has no vertical lock so i got something good to start with. It will be playing Sci-Fi movies in no time. I will post updates as i make progress on it.

I had one of these in very nice cosmetic condition, but I ended up selling it. The original CRT was dead as most are and it is too much trouble finding a substitute, and if you do, they end up sticking out the back as they have longer necks. I don't miss it. I prefer my late 40's sets.

I got this one extremely cheap so don't have much of an investment in it. It has the 6.3 volt replacement crt which tests like new and it does display a raster and has sound so i have something to work with. I like my older sets also but i want a challenge for a change. I have it sitting in my living room and have gotten more comments on it compared to my other sets with the exception of my color roundies. It's good to have variety in ones collection.
