Guys, just put the knobs on the 1937 Howard 400x. Thought Id share with you. A little dark. I'll send a pic come daylight.

Thats one beautiful radio! I love the dial and the eye sets it off. How does it perform?

Thx, it does pretty good. I really need a better antenna, I hastily ran a 15 ft of wire around the parlor floor, lol. I do have plans for a better one. It has a 12 jensen speaker which really brings out the bass. I checked with Jensen with the model number, they had no clue other than it was made in 1936. Lol
Wife comandeered the radio when I first started restoring it and told me where it was going to sit. It has been an adventure, to match the grill cloth, I had to buy it out of Italy. I have a new dial plate coming next week. Its easy to change. All in all Im pleased with the results. The 80 year old girl will be listened to about every day.
