A video of my Rogers 10-12 Radio'''you tube'''
I finally got this one all completed.. It has been about five years since I bought the radio and at that time it didn't have a power supply.
I put an add on Kijiji and a fellow had the whole radio for sale but it didn't have the clock , but I bought it.
I now have two Rogers 10-12 radios ,one complete and one with out the clock and power supply.
Both chassis have been recapped and play very well.
This is the very top of the line for Rogers in 1935.It was their tenth anniversary and it has 12 tubes,[hence 10-12]..It has a chrome chassis and speaker.
I spent a lot of time last summer stripping the cabinet and redoing it.
I grill cloth is glued to the speaker board and the speaker board does not come off. I had to use a mixture of water and vinegar to remove the grill cloth before I could strip the cabinet. .It now looks like new and it is my favorite radio sitting in my dining room.
Enjoy the video

Thank you for the comments. I do enjoy doing these cabinets.
here is a link to another one you might like.It is an RCA A33 globetrotter. As you can see it has seven knobs.
I don't have this radio any more; just not enough room.

In addition to the beautiful radio, I love listening to Pete Fountain playing the clarinet.

Re: A video of my Rogers 10-12 Radio'''you tube'''
When I did the video I played
''Stranger on the Shore'' from my MP3 player through the phono input of the radio.
I also like the song.
I suppose I should do a few more videos and post them.

Excellent work Dan. First I was aware of these sets having chrome, need to add one to my Scott collection.

Re: A video of my Rogers 10-12 Radio'''you tube'''
I have not hear of any other Rogers radios with a chrome chassis.
This was Rogers 10th anniversary and it has 12 tubes , so they called it the 10-12, and that is why it is a special radio.

Thanks for bringing that to light Dan. I’d never seen not expected the chrome, and now that I know it’s rare, I want one. Reason for everything I guess

Very nice video, very cool music background. I think that is Acker Bilk on the clarinet with Stranger on the Shore
