What capacitors do you need to change on this 1960 Zenith??
It plays great as is.
Do you need to change the filter caps??

Re: Zenith C730
Zenith's from this era are easy to work on.
If you plan on playing this radio regularly, I would change the filter electrolytics, and any wax/paper/plastic caps like your examples (yes they should be changed). I see one on top, one on the back with the phono input, and 4 underneath. The big black resistor looking thing near the volume control is a cap also. That's probably 9 caps total, piece of cake.
Personally, I would also replace the selenium rectifier (the blue square thing on top right) with a silicon diode and resistor combination, but that's just me. Others will tell you to leave it as long as it is supplying the correct voltage.
I've done about dozen similar Zenith's recently. Easy to work on and good performers with great sound.

Re: Zenith C730
Naddy69 Thanks.
I have been in electronics for a long time but just started restoring antique radios and needed that information.
I did replace all of the wax/paper/plastic caps
on the other zenith but did not know if it was needed.
I am wating to receive the filter caps to replace them they should be here in the next few days.
Thanks for your help.
