All of us have seen a familiar radio featured in a film or show. Here is a place to "log in" those you've seen.

I was watching the film, "My Dream Is Yours" this morning and it has a nice long shot and close up of an RCA 75X11 in Eve Arden's apartment.

I've seen some neat stuff in movies. Remember the second movie of "Boy's Town"? In there there is a close up scene of the boys winding up, and, actually playing an Edison Standard Cylinder Phonograph..........

There were lots of interesting electronic items on Perry Mason. There was a Concert Grand on there one time.

More crime/drama/noir...

I Want to Live! (1958)

The gang listens to the local news broadcast on a mid 50s Westinghouse AC/DC/battery portable with clear plastic handle (I have one Smile )

The Professional (1994)

The drugs are stashed in a GE model 860 (red Leave it to Beaver radio).

I'll add more later Smile

Here is a parade of RCA's lineup from the late '40s in a 30 minute valentine to NBC entitled Behind Your Radio Dial.

Watched a bit of Godfather Part II last evening. When Michael Corleone visited Hyman Roth at his home, there was one of these little GE units on a table next to the front door. These have gotten a disproportionate amount of face time in movies and TV.

The opening credits of "Remember WENN" on AMC showed a Zenith console at the end of the credits, which I think was a 7-S-363. The best look at it is in this episode, where about 45 seconds in the view of the console in the credits dissolves to a better view of the console at the beginning of the episode:

A flattering image, with the glow of the eye tube. I went to a page of images, guessing that the style og the trim was from 1940. I came up with this image that was unlabeled with the model, til I got the image itself. It concurs with your guess.
