Radiola 17 power supply
Radiola 17 power supply
Hi everyone,
Looking for some advice with a Radiola 17 power supply. I'm going to try to use this supply for a Zenith model 11-E . Same tube lineup - 3-26's, 1- 27, and 1-71 tube. I found the 11-E missing it's supply.
My question is if would be advisable to power up the Radiola supply (80 rectifier) with no load in order to check voltages before attempting to tie in the Zenith?? Not ready quite yet, as I'm re-wiring the Zenith radio chassis at the moment (also will have to do the same to the Radiola power unit) I know that I'll need 45V, 100V, 230V, 5V, 1.5V and 2.5V. I'll check again with the Radiola 17 schematic, but I believe I should be able to derive same with it. I'm simply not sure if I should be powering up any supply with "no load"
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Joe

Re: Radiola 17 power supply
I think the 17 used a 1K ohm speaker and no field coil ?
If so its probably ok . I would just monitor the voltage across the filters at first power up
