One of my elmers had went through the NRI course in the early 1940s during WWII. There was a lot of stuff about soldiers who went through the course. He also went through their TV course around 1970. The man never worked in a shop during his working years, only as a hobby. He had a cattle farm. Then when he retired he set up shop in his basement and did repairs for 15 years or more. I bought out a lot of his test items. He gave me his NRI books and I went through his old NRI books from the 40s about 20 years ago. I still have them.

They're pretty good books, I think. The same website has the RCA radio course from 1958 (see my other post for the link) which I like better, but the NRI is good and I downloaded the whole set. Great evening reading and there is always more to learn.
