Donation Day
Donation Day
Well, took my tax writeoffs to the thrift store folks. A 20" and a 15" CRT tv and my CRT computer monitor and a sometimes balky dvd player. Extra room and a bigger refund this February.

Re: Donation Day
I donated a generator I was not using to our local volunteer fire department. Their generator took a dump, so it worked out well for both of us.

Re: Donation Day
Wish I'd known about your tube monitor. My 17" tube in my monitor keeps shorting out, and, going to a black screen. One of these days,, I'll have no computer monitor, and, my eyes won't work with flat screen.
Been looking for large computer monitors for months. None around.

Re: Donation Day
This unit must've weighed 40 pounds. I imagine it would've cost plenty to ship. You need to have someone keep an eye out at the local thrift stores.

That'd make a donation that could repay you one day. Mighty considerate.

Re: Donation Day
I have been . No luck. I would have gladly paid for the shipping.
This monitor kept cutting out yesterday. I fear the end is near....
Calling ALL collectors. I badly need a good working 17" picture tube monitor for my pc.

Re: Donation Day
My wife is using a computer from 1997 that still runs Windows 98! She refuses to use my computer with Windows 7 on it. Hers has a Sony Trinitron 17"monitor that she got new with the computer. It still works just fine. She is leaning toward replacing, or at least supplementing, her old Compac Persario with an I-something. If she replaces her old computer, would you be interested in that Sony monitor? I will not promise anything, since this is her baby. If she actually wants to get rid of it, would you want it? How would you suggest to ship something like that?
Bill, did I read somewhere that you needed a CRT monitor to be able to see it? If you could use a flat panel, Walmart has a 19" that would make a good computer monitor for $98.

Re: Donation Day
I can't use a flat panel because of my eyes.

My back has been getting worse each day afrer hodding that stuff in. Today it's really hurting. I feel more like I donated my kidneys instead of monitors.
