This is almost "beautiful" as far as the simplicity, lay-out and compact design.

I have a Philips radio that was designed along similar lines.....a 1931 Philips 1203.

Philips was one of the manufacturers that made a radio special to have whether turned on or off. Whether one agrees with the style sense of a particular set, they were made to blend with what a person had in their home at the time.
