ROCKOLA 488 Empty ROCKOLA 488

Post by RONR11 Tue Apr 08, 2014 4:20 pm

Hi guys, helping a friend get his 488 working. What it does is take the selection and scans but won't stop at selection and load records. Any thoughts where to start? Thanks Ron

Ron,

This. "New" of of juke uses integrated circuits on plug-in cards I believe. There is a possibility one or more ICs have gone bad, or the connectors on the circuit cards are dirty. Don't unplug or plug in any circuitry until the juke is fully powered down.

Of course, with any juke, the usual suspects need to be ruled out first:

Failing electrolytic capacitors

Dirty switch contacts

Bad switches/microswitches

Inadequate or dryed up lube causing binding or excess wear on mechanicals.
