Philco model 7050 tube tester question
Philco model 7050 tube tester question
I want to test a 12BY7 ? But the tube sheets that come with this model don't show this tube. Does anyone have any idea where I can get an up to date tube chart for this tester. Thanks.

Re: Philco model 7050 tube tester question
If you look at the sockets of your Tube Tester you only have 7 pins for testing the miniature tubes.
The 12BY7 is a 9 pin. The substitutes are 12BY7A, 12BV7, 12DQ7
If you want a PDF file for your tester go to the following link.

Re: Philco model 7050 tube tester question
Glad to Help. Yes that looks like a nice tester,
I wish I had one like it. I have a Jackson and cannot find anything as far as online PDF files for my Model.
Your lucky, You can look at your schematic and find the correct switches to use, if you have the Data from a tube manual, that has pin-outs and voltages.
