Non-polarized crossover capacitors

Non-polarized crossover capacitors
My wife's daily driver, a Magnavox console stereo from 1961 took a dump this afternoon. We were listening to CD's when the volume went down noticeably. This model has 8 speakers, with one 15 inch woofer, a 6 inch midrange and two 4 inch tweeters per channel. The left channel, facing the stereo, seems to have lowered volume on the two 4 inch speakers. The 6 inch speaker and the 15" both seem to be operating normally. I replaced the crossover caps when I went thru the unit about two years ago. I don't have the schematic here, nor my notes. What I need to know is this. I made the non-polarized caps out of two caps in series. Do I connect them with the positive ends together or with the negatives together. IIRC, it matters, and I don't recall how I did it. I realize that this is a silly question, but please humor me. I'm old and my memory is not as good as it should be. IIRC, I needed a 16mfd cap, so I used two 33's in series. Yeah, I know. I'm too lazy to pull the back off and just look. I want to get the parts and only take that back off once. I have an "assistant" cat who will be up there amongst the electronics if I let is sit with the back off.
Thanks for you help.

Thanks, 75. Thinking about this, it really was a silly question. I could get the caps and then LOOK how I did the other ones. DUH! Thanks again.

Re: Non-polarized crossover capacitors
No biggie. They used them in the pa systems we used in railcars. I sweated bullets to keep that old stuff going 9 years ago and now there isn't a car that uses those systems.
