Radiola-80
Just picked up a new project. It is a Radiola-80 that I found at a yard sale for 15 dollars. I will be needing some help with this one because it is older than anything I have ever worked on (out of my comfort zone). I will post some pictures asap and start on it when I get the Zenith 7J323 off the bench. Is there any problem areas I should be looking for? All advise is welcome.

Re: Radiola-80
Yep. capacitors, chokes, transformers, resistors, and, much of that is encased in boxes of tar, or, in the case of earlier ones, bees wax.
Nice radio, but, not the easiest sets to work on.

Re: Radiola-80
Thanks Bill. I guess that I need to get my feet wet sooner or later. Also have a Zenith and a Philco from about the same time period that I need to do but they are more or less basket cases. This one may be also but for 15 dollars I don't think I could go wrong. Wish me luck
