Typical Daily Drive
Typical Daily Drive
Just thought I would share what a typical daily drive is like for me;

As you can see I don't like to live where they is a lot of traffic!

Neither do I, but I have no choice. And Iowans are the worst freaking drivers in the country...except maybe for Florida.
Pretty commute you got there!

That's beautiful. When I went back to where I grew up in Indiana, the roads were so sparse with traffic compared to the linear demolition derby I have to travel in each day, it almost seemed like one of those last man on earth movies.

When I was a kid, and, we used to travel the shortcut to Toledo Ohio to visit relatives, the road was so sparse. The big stove for advertising the stove companny in the teens used to be there. It was about fifteen feet tall, I think.
Detroit somethg stoves.

MEZ, that looks like the road to my place in Missouri. Except that it is too straight. And the lines are too nice. And the paving is lots better. Beautiful scenery. God's country for sure. Makes you feel good to get up in the morning!
Ragwire, if you feel that Iowans are crazy drivers, did you ever travel up "Plumbing Truck Boulevard" aka 39th Street, in Kansas City, MO? Say from US71/I-49 to Rainbow Boulevard. It would make British banger racing look like valet parking!

Re: Typical Daily Drive
That's nothing. I live in a neighborhood. However, our crummy mayor decided to call our street a highway, even though it's two lane traffic. They put the speed limit at 35 mph. However, alot of traffic drives 65 miles per hour, and, some neiighborhood idiots have been clocked at 90 mph, including at two am, and, during the day. Do the cops care? Heck no!!
We have about the worst cop force in the union...

Not that street. But trying to get through on I-35 is a joke with all the Exit Only lanes popping up.Wildcat445 wrote:Ragwire, if you feel that Iowans are crazy drivers, did you ever travel up "Plumbing Truck Boulevard" aka 39th Street, in Kansas City, MO? Scariect ting about Iowa drives is that they'll look right at you...and pull out right in front of you anyway. I lock up the brakes about every two weeks, on average. (And I'm not speeding or driving without headlights, etc.)
