Mystery receiver
A friend is trying to ID a radio of his youth and maybe someone here has an idea.
Console with PP audio and big speaker, thinks maybe GE.
BFO, selectivity and seperate RF and AF gain controls.
About 8 knobs in a row on the bottom.
He can not describe the dial except it was not an airplane style.
Anybody recognize this from the 30's or 40's?
Carl

Re: Mystery receiver
Hi Carl,
The descriptionis pretty generic, however the BFO and selectivity might narrow things down just a bit. If he's sure it has 8 knobs that might further narrow the search. Have your friend check the Radio Attic archives. for a photo.
Could have been a high end RCA or Scott?
If your friend has aphotographic memory, have him draw the best possible sketch of what he remembers.
