Hi guys and gals just bought a Calrad 45-740 off e-bay.does any body use one and if so how do you like it.from all i can find on them you must have to make up plugs for power in coming and out going ? the picture of mine shows no power cord and no plug for test item?.just looking for input.thanks Bennie

It looks like you could for starters, get a decent extension cord and cut it in half, use the plug end for the input and the socket end for the output. A neat touch would be to use crimp-on forked lugs on the wires where they go under the terminals.

hi just got my variac in and wired it up and it works fine.only 10.00 plus shipping .lot's better than 159.99 new plus shipping.now on to find a isolation transformer and a signal generator and i'll fill safe to start my restore.i'll keep you posted.Bennie
