Atwater Kent 72, 76
Picked up a beautiful 1930 Atwater Kent console model 72 chassis, 76 console from the original owner, it came with the original manual. A very lucky find. I'll soon put a pic in to share. Thanks

Nice radios
I believe the 72 is Super-Heterodyne, and the 76 is a TRF.
I believe the 72 was AC only, is the 76 AC or DC?

Thanks for the reply, the chassis plate says its a model 72, the plate on the wood console says 76, I'm sure it is, I've seen other's on line. Does this sound correct to you? I did buy it from the original owners. I'd be suspecious, but have paper work of its origin. I've seen a 76 console like mine on line, (ebay) and on the left and right side of the tuning knob it has a switch. Mine has a light on the left side, and the on, off button on the right which is a trait of the 72 chassis. Thanks

Yes, thanks, I saw those on radio museum, I believe I must have an early 76 model because it has the 72 radio chassis in it. I do have the 76 console, its puzzling. Thanks again. Hopefully I'll get a picture of it tomorrow, that's if the sun shines on this part of the country.

AK70 series
See below for different chassis in the AK model 70 series.
Chassis should have a letter (L,F,D,Q,H,P), not an actual model.
