Motorola 56W Empty Motorola 56W

Post by Guest on Thu Jan 24, 2013 8:10 am

I have a Motorola 56W that I plan to re-cap. C1 is a 40-30-30 @ 150WVDC and I found the following caps'

47-47-47 @160WVDC
33-33-47 @160WVDC

I thought I would use the 33-33-47 and watch which section I wired to where, which one would you use?

Here is a link to the caps;

Larry, the 33-33-47 is the ideal replacement. Those are the modern equivalents to the original values. Just curious, why not just install modern discrete separate units?

No reason other than to install a similar part. Since this is not in a can above the chassis I might just install separate caps.
