QSL cards Empty QSL cards

Post by scottj5395 on Mon Dec 31, 2012 12:30 am

Hey, does anyone here collect QSL cards. My grandpa was a HAM operator, I was too until about the age of 16, and he was W7ZOF. I had a plaquard of his at one time but lost it when my garage burnt down. This is a Montana call sign, specifically Malta. If anyone has one or knows where I can find one it would make my millenium. Thanks in advance.

I see ads in QST magazine, AWA Journal, and some other magazines where QSL collectors advertise they will check their collection for free, and then sell the cards for a buck or two.

Great, I'll check the bookstore and see if they carry those magazines. Thanks

QST is very popular and should be in a magazine store. However the AWA Journal is not a very widely circulated beyond it's members. QST and other Ham Radio magazines should be in Amateur Radio Supply stores, like Amateur Radio Supply. Let me check my latest issue of the AWA journal and I'll post the collector(s) in it.

Here is an ad from "Electric Radio." Chuck, NZ5M, email nz5matarrl.net. Replace the underlined at with the @ sign. He says $3.50 if he has it. I'm going to check my latest QST.

Well I checked my latest issue of QST and no ads for old QSL sellers. None in the AWA Journal. So, other than the fellow I mentioned, that is the only one. You could try Ebay, but as usual be warned. Wink

Nice link to collectors, but I think he wanted one that sold them. Might be a few in the link, but I checked a few and they were just displays of qsl collections. Certainly worth a wade through them, although it would be nice to have them searchable. Wink Wink

I've seen qsl's in antique stores, used book stores, etc. They are out there but can be scattered.
