I restored this about 3 years ago. The dial was clouded on the surface and some intense wet sanding brought it back.

It's a nice little performer. I do a little hunting with it when I wake up during the night.RCA 75X11 75x113

Thanks, yes it is edge lit with a #47. The pointer tip is red, the camera makes it look white.

I have that radio, also. The brass trim is nice. I see them on eBay, and they always go pretty cheap, strangely! Nice job!

Thanks, the painted 75X17 and 18's seem to get the more premium prices.

Yes, the "firey" tip of the pointer and the dial illumination make this a very eye pleasing radio.

Several years ago there was a nice write-up about these radio (focusing on the hand-painted models with the Chinese scenary theme) in the Antique Radio Classified.

This type of radio is an actor also, occupying a spot on Barbara Stanwycks' night stand in the film "Sorry, Wrong Number".
