GE Clock Radio
Does anyone know what model this radio is;

It plays great, but the clock is bad and the label on the back is partially missing so I don't know what model it is.

Re: GE Clock Radio
Thanks, that helped me find it!
It's a model 515. The 518 is white and the "F" is 1951 models with all mini tubes. Without the "F" is 1950 and a mix of mini and octal tubes.
I need to recap this one although it plays rather well as is. The clock motor is bad and I hope to find a donor radio.

.Specifically Telechron/GE clocks and timers. Here's how to rejuvenate the oh-so common "H" rotor that is the power plant behind these units.

I wrote it up a long time ago and it's due for updates, but for now it should take care of most of the issues. e telechron clocks in these.

Re: GE Clock Radio
I have a 515F. It has that stupid dip-soldered chassis. Mine sort of works. It has a mixture of bad tube socket connections and aged components conspiring to cause me grief. I have been tossing it about on my bench for a year. Sure seems to try my patience working on it. Certainly not one of GE's better ideas. Like Zenith and its inverted bakelite chassis. Yeah, I've got one of those turds, too. Sun testing on the bench with the GE 515F!
