Re: Gossard all season radio help!
Hi. Welcome to our forums. No. I'm sorry that I haven't heard of one. Perhaps another one of our members has??
I'd be interested in hearing about it myself.
May we see photos?
Thanks. Sounds very interesting.
Please feel free to post more.

No, It is an ac unit. I saw the same postings for the 27-28, but those are 5 tube models or greater and the model numbers are longer than this on, which is 77-a

Re: Gossard all season radio help!
This is definately a battery operated set!
Tubes are 5 volt filament put in parallel.
The volume control is sometimes the filament rheostat.
May we see some pictures, please?
Thanks.

Re: Gossard all season radio help!
By the way, that changes the date. More like 1924-1926.
Did you try looking in Rider's vol. 1?

Re: Gossard all season radio help!
Batteries. What makes you think it plugged in? Usually, the main B battery was 90 volts. At times there was a second B battery of 22.5-45 volts.
Occasionally, a C battery was used, sometimes 7 volts.
A battery for filaments was 6 volts.
Aren't there any markings on the back, or, on the board the clips are on, or, even a piece of paper attatched to inside of lid showing usually a tube chart, and, battery connections?
If you could show pictures, it might help to be able to determine.
Without further input, it's anybody's guess.
I want to help you, but, if there is no schematic, we need to see more of the set.

Re: Gossard all season radio help!
I think LA stands for long antenna.
G stands for ground.
I think you need to show pictures. Besides, allot of these sets get open driver transformers. You'd better check them first. If they are open, it's a moot point.
Have you tested the tubes?
They aren't cheap, either.
You might want to consider just using this one as a shelf queen.
