Dynavox Hi-Fi record player
I got this little gem from ebay tonight on BIN.
I owned this model machine when I was a boy. I took first one apart, and, destroyed it. I won't be doing that on this one.

Re: Dynavox Hi-Fi record player
It came yesterday. Bdly packed. One corner got broken, but, repairable.
It was very dirty, and, moldy inside.
I cleanned it.
I removed paper caps, and, electrolytics.
The twing spkr. was a nice piece of false advertising by Dynavox. The second spkr. was merely a whizzer cone...
Tony, I was wrong. It wasn't a 2"Z4" speaker.
It actually WAS a 4".
Iwill rebuild it first the way it is. If no good, I will add an audio tube. There's a big hole begging for another socket.
It's a cheap spkr., though...
This machine hasn't had a good life.
I cleanned the mechanism, and, lubricated all, but, bottom motor bearing. I'll oil that today...
I think idler wheel is slipping.
Haven't plugged it in.
Had a paper electrolytic, one Japanese paper cap on tone control. a paper bypass cap, and, a low grade Cathode bypass by Solar.
This was one poorly built little machine.
should take about an hour to rebuild....
