Atwater Kent 45??????? with E2 speaker
Hello radio forum......
Was hoping I could pick someone's brain...... I recently bought an estate and 1 of the items was an Atwater Kent Model 45 radio with an E2 speaker...... The Atwater site shows a 44 and a 46.... nothing about a 45...... nothing comes up on a google search.....this piece is clearly marked Model 45 on both the ID tag and the large box inside middle of the back.....Any idea what gives...... also any info on value would be greatly appreciated......
thanks in advance

Here's a modern schematic for the 45: http://www.atwaterkent.info/TechData/Drawings/Images/AK09900sch.pdf
Other info under Tech Data and a couple of articles on restoration on the site.

Bob,
The model 45 should be black with a green top. If yours has an E-2, the matching one would also be blakc with the same color green trim on the front grill. The black and green E is a little more common than the black and green E-2.

Info here http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/atwater_45.html
The value would be close to 100$ in nice clean working condition .
