I never even thought about it mabey you can help the motors good and strong and the gear makes contact but it keeps slipping.

Sounds like the rubber tire on idler wheel is bad.

You can resurface the rubber wheel by putting a screw through the center hole with a nut on the other end and chucking it up in a drill press. Fold a piece of 320 grit sandpaper over a piece of shim stock and press evenly over the wheel until you have a consistent clean surface. Keep finger oils off of it. Watch out for the circlips when you remove them as they travel long distances if they get away.
