Sell it? No, I want to make it purty, But I am no painter. I could be talked into
trading up if you have something nice to swap. I like early battery sets and Trans-Oceanics. No painting needed for those.
PM me if you want to talk.

Hey Mr. Rubber Chicken! Youse done a good thing. Now I have a question for you on one of the radios you have on your Web site. It's the RCA Victor 32. I have one just like it. What I want to know is how did you finish it as I would like mine to look as good. Spare no details please.
Mine has an intermittent volume control
and the Covers in the back are missing,
but it does Play.

Re: SILVERTONE 8003 METAL MIDGET RESTORED
Hi Tunes, you do realize this post is from 5 years ago.
The job he did is very good. Some of us do use acrylic enamel for repaints. I don't like to mess with the base/clear paints. A good air drying paint like Centauri gives a good gloss and depth. It might not be available anymore because of the BS air regs and such. I have some various colors in quarts. Mismatches discarded at the paint store.
To paint a raido with base coat, clear coat is way overkill, but it can be done.

Re: SILVERTONE 8003 METAL MIDGET RESTORED
Nice job on the little Silvertone. I just completed the same one in white. The recap was easy but the speaker was rotted and I think the mice got to it. I just got a new 4" and put the transformer on it with JB weld. I only get 2 stations up here in the Black hills, but the little 4 tuber gets them very good with a 10 ft wire. Now everyone wants it. It's good to keep history alive. Thanks for the pics.
