Power cord pin outs

Power cord pin outs
I have an older tube radio with an 8 pin tube type connector. I need the pin outs to test.
The radio is a Metrotek pace. The ac would be good as I would like to use a variactor to slowly bring up the power.
I know you are supposed to tune for maxium smoke but this is an older tube radio and I don't want to pop any caps.
Any help would be nice.

Re: Power cord pin outs
You mean you need the pinout for a tube?
Or it has an connector that has the pattern of an 8 pin tube socket?
If you meant the pinouts for a tube then we would need to know the model # of the radio. Is it a Farm Radio? Or a portable with an AC cord?, or ??????
Need more specifics to figure out answer.

Re: Power cord pin outs
Ok...sorry about that...
as Radiosmoker pointed out I was not very clear...
the pin outs I need are for the power connections on the back of the radio. The are some kind of tube connector but this is for the power cable.
If possible I would like both the ac and dc connections...
This is hard to find and the only connections that come close are for another radio. They show ac on pins 2 and 3.
The other connection shows ac also on 2 & 3 but some kind of interconect...pins 4&5 I think tied together....
I have thought about just spliceing ac cord to the main transformer. I decided not to do this as it would by pass the fuse. Also I want to slowly bring the ac power up to full. With the older radios I have found out the hard way the caps. don't do well after 50+ years....
Once again the pinouts I need are for the Metrotek
Pace power connector on the back of the radio...
It is also called the Metrotek Mustang.
Thanks for your time.....
