ARF topic forum not available Temporarily 10/12/2010
Welcome to our forum, we do have a lot of Antique Radio Forum members that belong to both ARF and our Tube Radio Forum TRF.
So welcome and browse our topics, and hope you enjoy or format as much as ARF. This has been used as an alternate in the past to keep us Radio addicts, from going stir crazy, (WHO ME?) LOL
We are never going to try to usurp ARF, Just a cozy rest stop on the way to Radio repairs and collecting wisdom.

Here's their reason for not working
Antique Radio Forums Forum Index
Information
The web hosting company has decided that the forums use too much of their server resources and shut this entire website down earlier today without warning. I have temporarilly disabled the forums so that the rest of the site might remain accessable. I am working to find a new home as quickly as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience.

What a shame that our friends at ARF were shut down without notice. I hope to learn the name of that web hosting company.
Although posting message traffic has stopped, I bet the number of hits to the web site has skyrocketed as many who are addicted to ARF repeatedly check to see if the site it up. Good luck to Alan and the team there to find a new home for ARF. Bill, whew!

Re: ARF topic forum not available Temporarily 10/12/2010
well the issue over at ARF and this is just my opinion and nothing more so dont beat me up to bad
1. thats a great site
2.lots of members
3.a database of wealth of info and thats great
but i think allan needs to charge a membership yearly maybe something like $25 per year per member that would be more than enough to keep it up and pay for bandwith and any left over after the cost of running site at the end of year arf should have a auction and everyone pitch in parts or a small radio they have picked up at swap meet or somere they are not going to miss and take all leftover money from membership paid and auction and dontate it to st judes childrens research hospital or cystic fibrosis foundation were it will help sick children here at home in good ole USA i have a nephew with cystic fibrosis and my brother is poor and he gets free medical from that foundation regardless weather my brother can pay or not and st judes works the same way let everyone know your thought on what i proposed and thanks ALLAn for the great site (ARF)
