Majestic Model 15/15A Grigsby-Grunow

Post by Imlorijean on Sun Aug 29, 2010 2:41 am

Hello

My husband and I recently purchased what we "think" is an antique radio. It is a console radio, walnut cabinet and the radio components have plates that say Majestic Model 15 and Grigsby-Grunow Manufactured in Chicago. It has 5 tubes. I have searched the internet and can find no mention of a Model 15 that is a console. We are wondering if we got a mismatched cabinet and radio? If anyone can point me to a website or place where I might do some research, I would sure appreciate it! I do have photos...just not sure how to upload them here.

If you have photobucket, or, some such photo website program, it's easy to copy the j Peg files , and, paste them onto a post here.
I've never heard of a model 15 either. What are the numbersof the tubes?
Are they numbers like 45,80,24, or, 224,280,245, etc.?
