Tube subs and wiring changes

Post by Resistance is Futile on Wed Aug 18, 2010 12:59 am

This Sylvania Tube substitution booklet has diagrams for changing tubes wiring pin to pin when specific tubes cannot be found. I thought this might be of use. It may also be used for tube tester applications when sockets need to be modified and a particular tube isn't listed in the tube chart.

So if you can't find a needed tube, (such as happened during the war) you can still get the set to operate on a different tube.

There is also a section on TV tubes. This Reference manual was printed in 1953..

Clicking on your link brings up a message that it cannot be found. Too bad; I've wanted to have this information for a long time. Bill, can you revise and provide a viable link?
