Old shortwave radio tubes

Post by Blakkwater on Sun Aug 01, 2010 2:04 pm

Got some tubes that are sitting in an old shortwave radio right now. They all work, they must be from the 50s or something. I'm not doing anything to them, so I figure I could sell them and make some coin to add to the amp fund.

Any idea what these might be worth?

Westinghouse 35Z5-GT
Hit Ray 12SA7-GT
Marconi Radiotron/RVC 50L6-GT
Marconi Radiotron/RVC 12SK7
GE 12SQ7

I'm not gonna be selling/shipping long distance, so I just wanted to get an idea of what I could sell these for so I don't rip anyone off by posting an arbitrary and totally exorbitant price on my local craigslist. At the same time, I'm gonna be putting the money from this sale towards my fund for a new amp, so I wanna maximize how much I can get from this little batch.

Thanks!

All those are common tubes, selling for $1 each.

Wasn't this at the ARF/ elsewhere before?

In case it isn't, yes, about $5 for the lot. They would be good for someone with an AA5 set.
Nothing valuable in that lot though. I'd hang onto them for future use. $5 ain't going to make a lot of difference in the amp you want. Unless it's a $10 amp Smile

Good luck.
