Just recapped a philco 48-1253 . Can not figure this out the phono will play . While the record is playing ,it will play then the sounds cuts out , then back on & off ect.

cracked crystal cartridge, bad wires in tone arm, poor connection, bad cut off swith needing adjustment, bad tube, dirty volume control?

Must be something loose i can bump on the set it will play.
I will look for it i think it is under the phono some where. Rolling Eyes
