Another place to visit

Post by Bill Cahill on Fri Jul 09, 2010 3:14 am

For anyone greatly interested in vintage tv's, or even video games, let me reccommend that you join this fine forum....
http://videokarma.org/
It's a spin-off of Audio Karma, but, goes into more specialized areas of video.
Take a look, and, join.
But, PLEASE don't abandon me! Smile

The first being ARF? Laughing

Thanks. It's the easiest moderating job I've had yet.
Almost nothing to do there.
Still looking for that record, though a collector did find me another odd ball one.

A single sided RCA Victor plastic 78 record talking about a new victrola set to go to Russia. The guy claims the machine weighs only 7oz.
I'd like to find one of those.
In the ad he said that Sarnoff was sharing the rights to the machine with all other companies without charging anything. According to the advertisement, "It's to spread the truth".
This was a handout record for advertisers, so, I imagine it's a very rare record.
iNteresting record.
I wonder what the machine was like.
According to him the machine was made totally of plastic.
They were awaiting gov. approval to ship machines, and, records to Russia.
I suspect it may be a late 50's recording. Fidelity stinks.
It's got a red label, and, shows the RCA, and nipper logos in small single white color.
Very interesting record.
