CAN CAPS
Whats best way to get these cans off chassi ? Getting ready to re cap my philco 37 - 93

Hi Denver,
I don't know exactly what your cap can looks like, but on a model 84 I have, there is a clamp holding the cap in place.The cap may be insulated from the chassis. Like a cardboard cap but is clamped.
You mentioned "cans" os you might have 2 that are either clamped, or have large nut on the bottom. Again, these may be insulated from the chassis, or may touch the chassis, check your diagram.

UPon looking at your diagram. I se only one cap can, and it appears to be clamped. Probably a cardboard tube instead of a can?
I would suggest that you first ID all the leads going to the cap.
I assume you want to restuff the cap right? Otherwise there would be no reason to remove it, except for cleaning.
If not, just leave the old cap in place, and disconnect the wires going to it.Install your new caps in place under the chassis.
Let us know if that is what you need.
