I also asked if they could put a Boat Anchors section in.
Ham gear is ham gear, But Boat Anchors are a class unto themselves.... Twisted Evil

And an AMEN to that... I only had one, But smoked the tranny Sad Gave it to a friend to save it... I wish I could get another someday...

You will.
Just go to any Ham Radio fleamarket, they usually show up, in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colors too. No discrimination there. Very Happy
Sometimes you can find some real bargains, sellers who actually want to sell what they bring (Gee, what a concept).
I have friends who also keep a look out for me for radios. And lets not forget the humble but still venerable "GARAGE SALE" it never hurts to stop and ask. I have hit paydirt a number of times doing this.

I got mine out of a trash can... tube bad I didn't know about the smoker tube in the power supply Sad I tore the thing apart and it was probably still good Sad All in the past now... That was almost 8 years ago...

The "GARBAGE CAN!!!!" don't you think thats scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit to get a radio?? lol!

It probably was, I also pulled tv's vcr's phones, cable boxes... I had a room full of stuff from the heavy garbage (annually in glace bay) They should sell brochures for that Smile
