Just go to any Ham Radio fleamarket, they usually show up, in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colors too. No discrimination there.
Sometimes you can find some real bargains, sellers who actually want to sell what they bring (Gee, what a concept).
I have friends who also keep a look out for me for radios. And lets not forget the humble but still venerable "GARAGE SALE" it never hurts to stop and ask. I have hit paydirt a number of times doing this.

I got mine out of a trash can... tube bad I didn't know about the smoker tube in the power supply I tore the thing apart and it was probably still good All in the past now... That was almost 8 years ago...

It probably was, I also pulled tv's vcr's phones, cable boxes... I had a room full of stuff from the heavy garbage (annually in glace bay) They should sell brochures for that
