Post by Bill Cahill on Sat Apr 24, 2010 3:18 am

I just won this junker on ebay.

I bought it to help repair mine.
Thought you guys would like to see it.
It's a 1946 model.

Thanks for showing it . I finally found a needle for mine.
I would play it no 78rpm records . Going to try and find some. Like to find some good ole blues & jazz , and old rock. Denver

I got several e mails from the guy. He sent it by fed ex yesterday.
I should have it Saturday.
Said when he went to pack it, something was rattling inside.
He openned it up to find 3 board monts broken free, and, two corners of case broken.
Sounds like this one was also thrown..
INterestingly, he says his says inside it is a Belmont. Was Belmont the orignal maker?

Something else upsets me.
The junker I'm getting has maroon case. Favorite color of mine.
So was my uncle's.
The one I presently own is Brown. ARGH!
