You can tell it is Spring . Going to 4 forumns nothing going on . Sure was busy this long Winter .
I fixed two sets . Really enjoyed this place made Winter not so dull. Cool Very Happy
Going to get a simple set to work on this Spring . When i get a little time. sunny

Well, if it's worth anything, I'm working on tv's.
Right now, replacing bad resistors in my beloved "family" RCA Victor 6T74 tv set.
Also, working on my 7" Motorola.

I could not imagine working on a tv. Theses radios are hard enough . Finally got 11 tube going and old phono &radio set. Both philcos Ikind of got hooked on them.

Tv's really aren't that hard. Familiarize yourself with how a tv works, the circuits, and, except for higher B+ in some spots, higher frequencies, and, much higher hv to run anode on pix. tube, it isn't much more than a glorified radio with a pix. tube.
Dangerous, yes. Need to take precautions. Yes.
But, alot of the service techniques are the same. Not all, mind you.
There are areas care must be taken.

I actually enjoy resurecting televisions more than radios.
Radios just play same old, same old.
TV's, well, you know..
And, phonos, lots of fun there.....

Once winter braks people tend to get outdoors.Here i been working on a Collins R-388.Took a bunch of radios to a swap meet sold all but 1.Time to look for radios..Sprman : )

All slow at 7 sites in USA. UK site busy as spring bees.
If you haven,t checked it out should . Found some neat
trouble shooting tricks there. Wink
