Finally Purchased a Remco Crystal Radio
It was a kit that I just finished assembling.Paid $30.
Got it on EBay.
Mine is Blue but otherwise the same as this one.
It is just like my First Radio as a kid, my Dad got me for Christmas in 1955.
It uses a plastic coil form and a sliding ball that drags over the coil.
Tested the Diode GOOD
Tested the Coil GOOD
Tested the Earphone GOOD
---------------------------
I had an outside Antenna, but had to make a outside Ground, that took a little work, Whew!
My 50 year old Radio Kit Works! Huzzah!!!!

Have you any other photos of the inside?

Re: Finally Purchased a Remco Crystal Radio
That's great! Those sets worked well as far as I remember.
I had the Remco also, but in blue. I think I still have the headset and an antenna lead with plug somewhere.
I do have some of the other xtal sets from childhood like the little orb with springs on the top.
Always fell asleep with the earphone in my ear, listening to what are now called 'old standards'. Frank Sinatra, Sammy, Dean, etc.
