WWV To Continue Operations and Celebrate 100 Years

Post by WPE9IJF on Tue Mar 05, 2019 9:44 pm

As some of you may know, WWV was defunded for 2019.  Now it looks like it was "refunded" and will continue operations at least for a while.  And their 100 year anniversary is coming up this year and there will be a celebration.  To those of us who appreciate the service this station provides, this is truly good news.  Very Happy

It sure is. As a young teenager of 14, I remember building a Knight Kit Star Roamer radio and logging WWV as one of my first "confirmed" stations. I believe I still have the QSL card somewhere. I hope it has another 100 year run.
