Lighting Up a Shirtpocket Radio
I had occaision not too long ago to light up a Zenith Royal 185 shirtpocket radio to help me tune it in a dim light. Actually, I replaced the small filament bulb with a white light LED. This makes for a much longer battery life. I'm sure it can be adapted to other shirtpockets. Photos & directions are posted at the following link...

I might just do that on my Zenith Transoceanic 1000 and all 3 of my GE super-radios. In fact that might be a good idea for some table top tube radios.
