I am working on a telelfunken jubilate and the dial string broke and it has the most horrible dial string path.

Even some North American sets are pretty bad! You'd think that something as simple as a string and a few pullies to move an indicator across a scale could be simple .... apparently not. Dial pulley mechanisms are vocabulary expanders!
