Greetings from Portland (TN that is)
Finally decided to let y'all know I've been lurking in the shadows for quite awhile.
I've been a member over at the great Antique Radio Forums for a couple years now. I see that several from there also hang out here from time to time, so I guess it's safe.
Electronics has been a hobby since the late 50's, resulting in a ham license since 1961, commercial licenses over the years, education and career in electronics for many decades, and now back to the hobby phase in my "reclining" years.
Though still an Extra-class licensee as K4CCW, I'm not really active on the air other than checking into 2M ARES nets from time to time. I have several boatanchor rigs (Drake TR-4, HT-32, etc.) waiting to be checked out and may one day get back on HF with one of them.
For now my main interests are collecting and restoring boat anchor receivers and the vintage test equipment I used to covet when I first started in electronics.
I keep trying to find good homes for my excess, but it seems every time I get rid of a bunch, another bunch comes in the door!
This is probably way more than you wanted to know, but that the way many of us old geezers are!
