odd radio tube

Post by Sinatra1982 on Tue Dec 06, 2016 5:26 am

I bought a philco 41-221 without tubes. It takes 6 and the schematic shows that one of them is a XXD. I have never heard of this type tube, can it be replaced with another type tube? Is it a rare tube and or expensive?

14AF7. In an AC/DC radio you may also use 14F7.
