Browni receiver with a bad hum

Post by tuberadiogeek on Wed Nov 30, 2016 7:41 pm

I have a small low wattage Browni receiver with a horrible hum in it. I wanted to use it like a pre amp but it only has a phono input and speaker output. I had it hooked up to some speakers earlier this year and it was fine but now it suddenly started humming. It might be from the 70s or 80s and it doesn't seem like it's the filter caps. It has just been sitting not being used. I'm just curious if anyone might have an idea of what it possibly could be? Thanks.
