That unit will surprise you if you put a clean audio source to input to the unit. I use Mp3 audio inputted to the FM input on mine and it is very clean and has nice range.

Boy, did I give a bunch of faulty information. Sorry.
The amplifier is Amp 101B.
According to the tube chart they had installed a RC 208A radio.
However, that's not what's in there. Looks like someone switched chassis'.
I'm waiting for the schematic to come so I can find out what the RC 208 is.
I forgot the number of the chassis is that they put in there, but, it's a low grade two band radio. I don't know if this change was done by the factory, or, by a dealer lately. That chassis is cleaner than the amplifier chassis, which has more, dust, and, dirt.
Looks like they kept the better chassis for themselves.
I also suspect they also changed the record changer.
On a top post I gave wrong numbers. The amplifier that is in there has ppp
6V6 tubes. I have a Amp 111H, which uses four ppp 6L6 tubes. that amp puts out fourty watts. The Amp 101A Puts out twenty watts with four 6V6 tubes.

If it's the CR-208 receiver you are writing about, Nostalgia air has Riders schematics on it. That may give you a head start.

No. I have a schematic coming for that one. I'd just like to compare it with the chassis I actually have.

Unless it has a number stamped on it, you may have to compare layouts.

I'll get that for sure when my help comes tomorrow. But, it looked like CR 218. That's the chassis I want to use.

It is a CR 218.
The radio chassis in this cabinet is a lot lower.

Well, a lot has happened. I've been starting to purchase tubes I need for deluxe chassis. Some questions still remain whether I'll be able to use the other chassis, or, not.... I'll be back with more information.

I bought three tuners, A 101 amplifier, FM adaptor, and, Amp 101 amplifier. It also has all the manuals for it. I got it all for only 129 dollars, plus, shipping This morning he emailed me everything by UPS, and, that includes all the tubes. No speakers, or, changer. That's the same set as the one I bought off the net. No speakers, but including antenna.
Now, I don't know what to do. It came out of a Belvedere cabinet, also. He kept that and, speakers. I don't know why. They are both electro magnet. I'm going to email him with that information.
These parts, and, manuals should arrive no later than January fourth.
They went out today by truck.
Wish me good luck.

I bought a second set of exactly the same chassis because I now have all manuals original to the set. And, they came from the same model radio. It has been "repurposed".sad.
So, I guess I'll rebuild it.
I bought what was supposed to be the original changer for it separately. I'm upset. The original one was 78 rpm, and,had a paper label instructing to use only Magnavox phonograph needles.
The changer they sent me appears to be an early three speed. Not good. It has an original spindle that removes from the turntable.
I'm not happy about that....

Tonight I happened on Amp chassis. Someone had done a no, no.
They took out one 5y3, leaving socket empty, and, putting in a 5R4 rectifier in other socket.
What did they blow out? Wiring is different.

The 5Y3's are connected in parallel. Apparently, somebody figured one 5R4 would do the job of the two 5Y3's. That would work as far as current output from the rectifier is concerned, but the 5R4 draws more current from the power transformer. Simply installing two 5Y3's connected again in parallel should put it back like it is supposed to be. Of course, you need to check to make sure everything is wired correctly. Referring to the schematic should give you enough information to answer those questions.

I bought guts to that model from a dealer on ebay. One of the amps has been messed with. Both rectifier sockets are connected, but, they trashed the 5y3's, and, put in an incorrect 5r4.
I have picked up two original FM tuners, but, only one has the audio connector.
