Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus Train

Post by tuberadiogeek on Tue Nov 17, 2015 7:46 pm

Last night I found out on a local train group on Facebook that there was going to be a Circus train coming through my city. It was the RB and B&B Blue Unit train. It was coming out of Canada on it's way to Alabama. By the time it was confirmed that it was going to come through Ohio it was in Michigan. When I found out it was going to be on the railroad that goes right behind my house I had to see it. So between people posting updates on the group and listening to the scanner I was able to catch it. I took some photos and video of it. It came through my city about 1:20 this afternoon and is steadily heading south. Some of you may be able to catch it and see it yourself. If anyone uses scanners for railfanning, it's train number P921-16. For anyone wanting to see my photos and video, I will post links to them on my Facebook page. The album and video are public so anyone can see them. Indeed, very nice. I have been to a circus or two but nothing that big. On a side note My friend Gary Dunford that I met at the Nashville meet had some letters that spelled Atique radios. He was selling them and I bought them. They had been used at a circus. These are the letters they would put up. Very nice video and pictures.

Imagine their overhead expenses for a transport like that alone.

And thanks for an excellent video of something we seldom see these days!
