I need to find "diddle sticks"

Post by Steve Myers on Tue Nov 17, 2015 4:02 pm

Hello all,
I have been "Lurking" and (I hope!) learning for a few years. I am going to tear down a Heathkit (GR-91) that I built when I was 13. The radio plays now (I recaped it) but I want to start all over and put new resisters and components in it. I have not measured them, but it has been a long time since 1963 (when I built it)! I want to also align the IF cans when I am through. I want to get the adjustment nylon sticks that fit correctly. I know that if I try to adjust them with the "not quite" fitting stick, I run the risk of cracking the slug. I am hoping to avoid that.

Any idea of where I can aquire them?
